PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prism sheet which can prevent glaring of a screen and generation of an interference pattern, and can promote improvement of front brightness and reduction in size, and to provide a backlight unit for a liquid crystal display device using the same.SOLUTION: A prism sheet 1 includes: a transparent substrate layer 2; a bead-coated layer 3 which is stacked on the surface side of the substrate layer and has beads 7 dispersed in a binder 6; and a plurality of projecting prism portions 5 which are arranged in a stripe shape on the surface side of the bead-coated layer. A sheet-shaped portion 4 is arranged between the bead-coated layer and the projecting prism portions, and the sheet-shaped portion and the projecting prism portions are integrally formed with each other. |
