Compounds of the general formula (R=H, halogen; R 1,2 = hydroxyalkyl containing up to 4 carbon atoms or -NR 1 R 2 =5 or 6 membered heterocyclic ring) and their acid addition salts are prepared by condensing a compound of the formula with R 1 R 2 NH at a temperature, not above 100‹ C., optionally followed by salt formation. The above compounds are antihistaminics, sedatives, analgesics, anti-inflammation agents, antitussive agents and anti-secretion agents. They may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier. |
