<p>The U-section belt conveyor is rippled laterally and flanged longitudinally at the sides. One-piece moulding obviates chains and attachment clips, for easy installation. The neutral bending plane is in the flange region, where support and drive are applied. The flanged (3) belt is longitudinally divided into compartments, with walls (9) which may vary in height. Reinforced (4) flat flanges run on support rollers (8). A corrugated flange would run on a toothed wheel; a local top face belt can support steep inclines. The trough's bottom runs over cross rollers for a self cleaning discharge.</p> |
