PURPOSE:To send a broad band signal in a narrow band by separating alternately a consecutive television signal into two signals for each horizontal scanning period and expanding the time base of each signal into nearly twice. CONSTITUTION:The television signal is alternately divided into two for each horizontal scanning period, the time base of each signal is expanded into nearly twice and converted into the 2 systems of television signals. Thus, the band of the 2 systems of the television signals is respectively nearly a half with respect to the band of the original television signal. Then a signal subject to orthogonal biphase modulation by the television signals converted into the two systems is subjected to band compression into a half also for the modulation signal band with respect to the signal subject to amplitude modulation by the original television signal. Thus, the transmission at a narrow band is attained. |
