摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging and discharging method for a nonaqueous electrolyte solution secondary battery with improved life performance and safety. SOLUTION: Lithium manganate is used as positive active material for a positive electrode of a nonaqueous electrolyte solution secondary battery, and a carbon material is used as negative active material for negative electrode. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution secondary battery is supposed to be at 0% charged state when the potential difference at a closed circuit state of the positive electrode and the negative electrode is 2.7 V, and at 100% charge state when the potential difference is at 4.3 V. Charging and discharging are made within the range of charged state of 0% to 90% with the current value with which 8 or more hours is needed to have a potential change from 0% to 100% or from 100% to 0% charged state. Load on the positive electrode and negative electrode active materials is alleviated, and so is electric energy per unit weight stored in the positive electrode and negative electrode active materials.
