BOARD CONTROL/MAINTENANCE UNIT HAVING IMPROVED SEALING CURRENT TEST FUNCTION AND METHOD FOR TESTING SEALING CURRENT THEREOF

PURPOSE: A board control/maintenance unit and a method for testing a sealing current is provided to improve a sealing current test function and to enforce a maintenance function by doing a very easy measurement on current without physical cutoff of a, user's line by pushing a sealing current test button only after a line which the user want to test is selected. CONSTITUTION: A method for testing a sealing current further includes a sealing current test step. The method for testing a sealing current is by a board control/maintenance unit(BCMU) for controlling and maintaining a user's board by performing a test function on lines and a periodic characteristic test on an ISDN subscriber board(100,200). The sealing current test step measures a current without physical cutting of the subscriber's line by connecting an ammeter portion(700) with a port of a measurement by passing through a resistor for measuring a current by switching a sealing current measurement conversion relay in the BCMU after cutting off the BCMU test circuit by converting a subscriber's line being not used temporarily from the ISDN subscriber board into a test mode.
