The assembly and coordination fixture for fit accuracy checking of a vehicle's interior equipment has a number of interconnected rigid frame sections constructed as a frame construction formed for the fitting of the complete interior equipment and by the provision of releasable fasteners between components of the frame construction is designed in modular fashion in such a way that a module is allocated to the interior equipment scope of supply of one vendor, and these modules are detachable from the frame construction as rigid units. An independent claim is included for a method for the preassembly of interior equipment of especially a private motor vehicle.
