<p>A display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to minimize layout areas of pixels by reducing the number of components and wires based on switching of a source voltage. A display apparatus includes a pixel array and a driver for driving the pixel array. The pixel array includes scan and signal lines(WSL101,DTL101), matrix typed pixels, and power lines(DSL101). The driver includes a main scanner(104) for scanning pixels, a power scanner(105) for supplying a source voltage to respective power lines, and a signal selector(103) for supplying a signal voltage level and a reference voltage level to signal lines. The pixels include an illuminating component(3D), a sampling transistor(3A) for sampling a signal level from signal lines based on control signals from scan lines, a driving transistor(3B) for supplying a driving current to the illuminating component based on current from the power lines, and a capacitor(3C).</p> |
