<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the seizure of a powder clutch by raising an exciting current gradually in the case of the slip condition of the clutch being materialized in the almost stop state of an automobile with an accelerator depressed and with the brake off. CONSTITUTION:In the depressed state of an accelerator in the case of an automobile being close to the stop state with the brake off, a control circuit 4 judges the slip of a powder clutch 3 from the engine speed which is the input rotating speed to the clutch 3 and from the clutch output rotating speed of a clutch output side rotation sensor 11, and the control circuit 4 outputs a signal to an exciting current driving circuit 10 so as to gradually raise an exciting current to the clutch 3. The locking force of the clutch 3 is thereby strengthened gradually, and load to the engine side is increased to stop the engine. Accordingly, in the case of a wheel getting into a ditch or the like and locked therein, the clutch can be prevented from seizure due to continuous slipping by the depression of the accelerator.</p> |
