Lightweight corrugated pipes are produced by forming undulated depressions and elevations in a flat strip of the material and helically winding the latter and connecting adjacent strip edges. - The stretched flat strip is first pre-corrugated with incomplete depressions and subsequently the corrugating operation is completed, prior to bending into pipe shape.
