PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower power consumption in an image forming device network system connecting a plurality of image forming devices to a computer terminal controlling power source supply for them via a network. SOLUTION: On the image forming device side, it is checked whether a demand for turning on a power source is made or not (step S101). When a power source key, which is not shown in the figure, in the image forming device is pressed down (step S101: Yes), a command for turning on the power source is issued to the computer terminal side (step S102). Then, a response from the computer terminal is waited (step S103), and in receipt of a permissive response command (step S103: Yes), the power source for the image forming device is turned on (step S104). In receipt of a rejective response command (step S103: Yes), the power source is not turned on. On the computer terminal side, in receipt of the command for turning on the power source, it is checked whether there is an image forming device on warm standby or not. If there is no image forming device on warm standby, the permissive response command is transmitted to the image forming device. |
