[Also in Division C3] Rimming steel ingots are cast in an ingot mould having a casting cavity lined only on two facing sides or lined around its interior top part with a heat-insulating moulding, the crosssection of the cavity being square or rectangular. In Fig. 2 the mould 1 is of square cross-section and has a moulding 2 placed in the upper end of the cavity. In Fig. 3 a rectangular cross-section slab-forming mould 1 is shown with a moulding 2 on each of its longer sides 3. The mould lining materials are specified (see Division C3). |
