<p>An injection mould for thin-walled battery casings comprising a number of relatively narrow cells comprises a set of mould cores corresp. to the number of these cells. These cores are mounted with freedom to move sideways in a recess in teh core support plate; the extreme cores have external inclined surfaces which cooperate with corresponding inclined faces on the inner face of the half-mould. When the mould is fully closed, the cores are thus all thoroughl and firmly clamped together by the wedging action of the inclined faces. Specif. the anrrow sides of all cores may also have inclined faces cooperating with corresp. faces in the half-mould. The whole arrangement ensures extremely firm clamping of the cores, resisting disturbance under the high forces produced by rapidly flowing plastics entering the mould.</p> |
