PURPOSE:To accurately stop a rotary body indexing a stop position in a short time, by comparing the stop position of the rotary body with a prescribed indexed position and rotating the rotary body in a shortcut direction and stopping the rotary body in the indexed position. CONSTITUTION:After the rotation of a rotary body 3 caused by driving a DC motor 12 is stopped, the rotary body is slowly rotated by an indexing motor 15. The position of the rotary body 3 is detected by an absolute encoder 18. The detected position R1 and a prescribed indexed position r are applied to a shortcut calculation circuit 26. The direction of rotation of the indexing motor 15 is decided by the calculation circuit. When it is confirmed by a calculator 23 that the every 2 deg. signal R1 and the output of a resolver 17 which performs one rotation per 2 deg. rotation of the rotary body 3 to generate a signal of one cycle to detect a minute angle coincide with the value of the prescribed indexed position r, a signal is supplied to a driving system 25 to stop the indexing motor 15. |
