摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate mechanical movement and to improve reliability by providing plural linear detecting devices and forming an optical image having the angle of elevation different in peripheral space on respective detecting devices, in the image pickup device to pickup the two-dimensional infrared light picture from a stationary satellite to the globe. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup device is fixed in the stationary satellite, and executes the uniform rotating motion together with the satellite around a rotary shaft 1 of the satellite. The image pickup device is provided radially around its rotary shaft 1 with reflected mirrors 2a-2f, main mirrors 3a-3f, sub-mirrors 4a-4f, one-dimensional detecting devices 5a-5f and radial cooling devices 7a-7f. The reflected mirrors 2a-2f are assembled so that the angle formed by the rotary shaft 1 in the normal direction of the mirror surface can be successively deepened by the angle alpha/2 (alpha is an angle of visibility in the rotary shaft direction.). For an incident light flux 9, the direction is changed in parallel to the rotary shaft 1 by the reflected mirror 2 and the image is formed on the linear detecting device 5 by the optical system composed of the main mirror 3 and the sub-mirror 4.
