PURPOSE:To generate a jam error signal at a time incurring a paper feeding miss as well as to make the cleaning timing of a paper feed roller detectable before incurring the paper feeding miss. CONSTITUTION:A span of paper conveying time T is found out of a difference between a driving signal (a) of a drive motor driving a paper feed roller and a detection signal (b) out of a paper detecting sensor installed in a specified spot in a paper conveying route by a paper conveyance detecting means 20. In a jam error signal generating means, the paper conveying time T3 of the paper feed roller incurring a paper conveying miss is preset, and when the conveying time T becomes more than the T3, a jam error signal (d) is generated. In a cleaning timing report means, conveying time T2 of the paper feed roller becoming a span of timing requiring a job for cleaning before incurring the paper conveying miss is preset, and when the conveying time T becomes more than the T2, a cleaning timing report, signal (e) is generated. |
