In this stackable box, produced from flat components made of wood or similar material, assembled together by metal fixing devices, the said components comprise at least two transverse lateral components whose inside faces delimit two opposite sides of the periphery of the box, and longitudinal bottom components which have two opposite ends overlapping an internal edge 14 of a lower section 13 of the two lateral components respectively and which are fixed at the top by the said metal devices. The lateral components, on an upper section, have a stepped profile forming an internal shoulder 17 for receiving corresponding ends of bottom components of a similar superimposed box and an external rim 16 for direct bearing on an external edge of the lower section of the corresponding lateral component of the said superimposed box. <IMAGE>
