PURPOSE:To obtain fine powder of an oxide semiconductor having an excellent sinterability by obtaining the dried coprecipitated double salt of oxalic acid after adding an oxalic acid solution to a mixed solution of metal sulfates and, at the same time, heating the dried double salt. CONSTITUTION:In a spinel composition, (MnaNibFecCodCue) O4 (where, a+b+c+ d+e=3 and 0<=a, b, c, d, e<3), the Mn, Ni, Fe, Co, and Cu are coprecipitated by adding 1.05-1.50 mole of oxalic acid solution to a mixed solution of the sulfates of the metals, etc., and a dried coprecipitated material is heated at 500-1,000 deg.C after the material is adjusted in pH and aged. Thus the fine powder of a single-phase cubic spinel is obtained. When the fine powder thus obtained is used, a thermistor element which has a high thermistor characteristic reproducibility and high reliability, can be reduced in size, and can be increased in thickness can be obtained. |
