PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current robbing oscillator. SOLUTION: A current robbing oscillator 10 is provided with plural inverted type delay elements 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 which are connected in a ring shape. Each inverted type delay element is provided with an inverter 44 having an output node 24. Also, the oscillator is provided with a programmable current circuit 50 which is able to operate so as to control the duration of a delay periodτ, that is related to the delay elements by taking a current of variable quantity from the output node of the inverter.
