APPARATUS FOR PRESS FIT OF CONNECTOR INTO PRINTING BOARD

PURPOSE:To automate press fit of a connector by omitting operation for temporary insertion into a printing board. CONSTITUTION:Press-fit connectors 1 are contained in a stocker 2. Chuck 3A is moved by a transporting mechanism 3 in horizontal or vertical direction in order to take out the connector 1 from the stocker. The connector 1 is attached to an insertion part 4 by the chuck 3A and pins are aligned. While the connector 1 is being sucked by the insertion part 4, a moving mechanism 5 moves the connector 1 of the insertion part 4 to under a press-fit head 6 and this press-fit head 6 sucks the connector 1. A press-fit part 7 lowers the press-fit head 6 and presses the connector 1 into a printing board 8. On a die 9, the printing board 8 is mounted and a table 10 supports the die 9 and moves horizontally in X-Y direction.
