<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of easily releaving a liquid crystal display part even when a driving circuit is poor without providing a redundant circuit in the driving circuit. SOLUTION: An X driver 3A on a liquid crystal substrate 1A has a shift register circuit 20A, switching elements for selecting signal lines M1A to MmA, switching elements for changeover 10B, f10HA, f20HA, N1A to NmA and conductive electrode pads PX1, PX2, PX3, Y1 to Ym. A rectangular bar-shaped integrated circuit chip on the substrate has the same shift register as that of the X driver 3A, switching elements for selecting signal lines and conductive electrode pads. Then, when the driver 3A is poor, the integrated circuit chip is made to be operated by cutting off the drive 3A electrically while making switching elements for changeover 10B, f10HA, f20HA, N1A to NmA opened and by connecting conductive electrode pads of the chip and conductive electrode pads of the X driver.</p> |
