PURPOSE:To detect only the true band by determining whether the peak detected in the direction perpendicular to a sepn. development direction is the peak to indicate the true band or noise on the many rasters formed with one sepn. development array. CONSTITUTION:Two or more one-dimensional waveforms (rasters) consisting of the position along a migration direction and the level of the signal are formed with one sepn. development array. The peaks are then detected on all the rasters. Whether the peak exists or not within the specified range centering at the peak of one peak on one raster on the adjacent rasters is then retrieved with respect to said one peak. the retrieval of the peak on the adjacent rasters is thereafter successively repeated as far as the peak is found out. Determination is made that the band exists in the positions of a series of the peaks, if the peaks are detected on plural pieces of the rasters adjacent to each other. The base sequence of nucleic acid is thus easily and automatically determined with high accuracy. |
