PURPOSE: A plasma display apparatus is provided to reduce the number of a plurality of sub-fields per unit frame which implement an image by converting a first vertical frequency(50Hz) into a second vertical frequency(60Hz). CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel implement an image. A signal determining unit determines whether or not an image signal is inputted. A controller drives to a first vertical synchronizing frequency when the image signal is inputted. The controller drives to a second vertical synchronizing frequency in case the image signal is not inputted. A scan driver supplies a driving signal to a scan electrode. A sustain driver supplies a driving signal to a sustain electrode. An address driver supplies a driving signal to an address electrode.
