A handle (1) for sliding windows or doors which comprise a leaf (2) carried by a frame (3) in freely sliding and selectively fixed manner along a given longitudinal direction (D); the handle (1) comprising a case (6) able to be rigidly coupled to the leaf (2) and provided with a locking device (10) comprising a cursor (11) carried by the case (6) in a manner movable with alternating motion transversely to the longitudinal direction (D) and supporting a latch (14) able to couple with a stopping member (5) which can be rigidly installed on the frame (3); Cartesian regulating means (60) being associated with the locking device (10) for setting at will the position of the latch (14) relative to the stopping member (5).
