PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diabetes appearance-suppressing composition capable of suppressing the appearance especially of severe I-type diabetes among diabetes diseases, which are considered to be difficult in curing. SOLUTION: A method for preparing a diabetes appearance-suppressing composition comprising the following steps: crushed edible fruit body of Ganoderma lucidum is added to a base material consisting of embryo buds of unpolished rice, and the mixture is steamed; the resulting mixture is cultured after inoculating a group of spawns of Aspergillus oryzae strains; the culturing is continued and the cultured product is aged under controlling the temperature of the cultured product by suppressing the elevation of the temperature of the culturing bed caused by the culturing with stirring; and at the same time the temperature of the aged product is controlled between 44 deg.C and 46 deg.C to convert it to a dried product.
