[Also in Divisions,D2, G2 and,H1] Sheets to which electrophotographic powder images are fused comprise a base coated with a solid crystalline plasticizer (e.g. ethylene glycol dibenzoate, dimethyl isophthalate, glycerol tribenzoate, dicyclohexyl phthalate and/or diphenyl phthalate). The plasticizer may be mixed with a binder (e.g. styrene/butadiene copolymer, carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl acetate, alcohol or pyrrolidone, acetylated or hydroxyethylated starch, soy protein or casein) and may be applied to a base (e.g. paper) as an aqueous dispersion using a smooth metal roll followed by doctoring with a reverse rotating wire wound rod and drying with heated air. |
