PURPOSE:To correct a character by the unit of character part even to the character is of which inputting has been once completed, concerning the device for inputting characters to a word processor or the like. CONSTITUTION:When the request of correction is similarly inputted from an input part 1 concerning the character inputted from the input part 1 and stored in an input memory 4, any character matching with the request of correction is retrieved from a character parts storage part 5 by a control part 6 and displayed on a display part 3. The character parts storage part 5 stores fine parts constituting the character or relation among those parts, and the completed character is also handled as parts. Thus, by additionally writing one slash on the left upper side part of a Chinese character (KANJI) 'ju' meaning 'living', the KANJI can be corrected to be another similar KANJI 'ou' meaning 'going' and correction from a KANJI 'ogi' into a KANJI 'hagi' or from square forms of Japanese syllabary 'i-ni' to a KANJI 'jin' is enabled. |
