PURPOSE:To execute clear and sharp laser marking at high speed by recognizing the letters and symbols to be marked as the set of the line segments, and executing the scanning based on the information on the starting point and the ending point of the line segments. CONSTITUTION:A work is machined by oscillating the laser beam 2 from a laser beam oscillator 1, reflecting the laser beam by galvano-scan mirrors 3, 4, and converging the laser beam by a lens 5. The letters and symbols to be marked are recognized not by the set of the dots, but by the set of the line segments. Other line segments except one line segment are constituted by the pattern which is interrupted before and after the intersection where the line segments are intersected with each other. The mirrors 3, 4 are driven by a mirror driving system 10 as the information on two points of the starting point and the ending point. Delay of the movement of the mirrors 3, 4 to the driving signal is assumed, and the beam spot is scanned without verifying the positions of the mirrors 3, 4 by preliminarily inputting the waiting time corresponding thereto. The oscillator 1 is stopped only for the part where each line segment is disconnected, and free oscillation is independently executed without verifying the information on the scanning position during the marking operation. |
