<p>A micro-electromechanical system mixes a fluid using predominantly planar laminar flow. The micro-electromechanical system includes a mixing chamber (10) and a set of valves (14) to establish the planar laminar flow in the mixing chamber (10). In one embodiment, buble-controlled pumps (20) are operated with bubble-controlled valves (22) to establish the predominantly planar laminar flow in the mixing chamber (10). The bubble controlled pumps (20) and valves (22) may be used to establish a pulsed double-dipole flow field in the mixing chamber (10).</p> |
