An operating method of a washing apparatus is provided to effectively remove wrinkles of the clothes by differentiating the steam amount supplied to the laundry. An operating method of a washing apparatus comprises a clothes supply step(S10) of injecting the wrinkled object such as clothes; a laundry amount selecting step(S20) of selecting/inputting the injected laundry amount; and a steam supply step(S32) of controlling the steam amount supplied to the object and supplying the steam according to the laundry amount inputted from the laundry amount selecting step. The laundry amount selecting step selects the large and small amount of the injected object. The steam amount is controlled by differentiating the upper limit of the temperature inside the drum heated according to the steam supply.
