PURPOSE: A method for controlling the operation of a wire bonder is provided to prevent the welded state of gold wire even if a bonding process resumes after a long period of time, by making the thermal state of transducer-horn uniform. CONSTITUTION: A bonding routine is performed when a bonding start command is inputted from a user. A Solenoid valve(321) is open for a predetermined interval of time in a pattern recognition process on bond pads of a semiconductor die and stitch pads of a leadframe. When a bonding stop command is inputted from the user, the Solenoid valve is closed according to a driving period and an open/close ratio inputted from the user. Air is supplied toward the transducer-horn(325) by using the same pattern as the bonding process. |
