The assembly (30) has a driving unit (10) e.g. pulley or pinion, mounted on a rotating shaft (3) of a rotating electrical machine (1) by screwing. A connection unit (20) rotatably connects the driving unit and the shaft. The connection unit has a central portion (22) engaged in a recess (24) of the shaft. The connection unit has an annular flange engaged in a groove for axially connecting the connection unit to the driving unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixing a driving unit on a rotating shaft of a rotating electrical machine.
