An exhalation valve in a breathing apparatus comprises a disc 4 loaded to the closed position by a spring and guided on a screw 5, having a lever 8 co-operating with an axially slidable stop ring 9 to control the closing of the disc by causing it to tilt. The ring 9 has a locking screw 10. The loading of the spring can be adjusted by a cap 6, which can be screw threaded to the valve housing and carry the screw 5. The ring 9 may be threaded on to the housing so as to be adjustable by rotation. The stop may be a screw with an eccentric head. The seat can be tilted with respect to the disc.</p> |
