The invention discloses an arrangement in the case of which the contacts (20) which extend away from the four sides of a flat housing (12) are held in a detachable manner against corresponding contacts (18) which extend away from the sides of a socket (10) for the flat housing, to be precise by means of a cover (14) having four arms (16) which are fitted on the socket (10), in each case close to one of the four corners of the same, such that they can pivot. As a result of the arms pivoting downwards against the tops of the flat housing contacts (20), these contacts are pressed against the socket contacts (18) located underneath and are held in positive contact with them, and, when the arms pivot upwards, the flat housing can be released for removal and for its subsequent replacement. In addition, the cover (14) is preferably fitted in position on the flat housing in use, even when the flat housing is located outside the socket, the cover (14) serving during this use to protect the cables (lines, leads) of the flat housing, for example during handling and during storage.
