<p>A holder for a diaper or an absorbent pad for a baby, is cheaper to mfr. than conventional disposable napkins and is more flexible as regards it use with pads of a greater or less absorbent capacity. The holder is produced from a continuous length of e.g. polyethylene or PVC film, the edges of which are folded over and held down by seams applied intermittently along the length of the folds. At the points between the seams, at predetermined spacing, semicircles are stamped out to fit the baby's legs, leaving two strips at each side of the cutout to form the waistband. The edges of the absorbent pad are pushed into the pockets where the fold is not welded and is held securely during the time it is worn.</p> |
