<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily manufacturing a thin phase difference film of a liquid crystal display so as not to prevent a liquid crystal from being driven so that cost for manufacturing a liquid crystal display is more reduced than conventionally. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display apparatus has a structure in which phase difference films that have the same function as a conventional phase difference film are formed by using a liquid crystal stabilized with a polymer over a first substrate and a second substrate having electrodes formed thereon, and a liquid crystal material is interposed between these substrates. In addition to the structure as above described, it is also a feature that the phase difference film formed over the substrate is formed by using a liquid crystal that is stabilized with a polymer containing a conductive material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
