The fixed part of the linkage fits to the seat and the pivoting part to the backrest. A handgrip is used at a distance from the axis of the adjustment gear and connected to it by an intermediate linkage. This is enclosed in the housing (11) for the mechanism which is specially shaped so that it pivots on the rear adjustment point. The linkage itself can be a spindle, a chain or a pulley system. The support at the rear end of the housing against the drive spindle of the adjustment gear is self locking. There is a loop fixed to the top side of the housing. |
