<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a succeeding recording medium from colliding against a preceding recording medium when the recording medium to be folded is closely followed by the recording medium not to be folded by recording and discharging the latter with a specified time lag. CONSTITUTION:When copying is started, a control device sends a control signal to a circulation type original feed device 300 to send an original to an original reader of a main body 100 of a duplicating machine. At the same time, the size of the original is detected with sensors 302 and 303, a compatible cassette is selected from cassettes 151, 153 and 201, and it is discriminated if the paper in the cassette is of the size (A3, B4) that can be fold-processed with a folding device 400. If the paper is of a cassette size that cannot be folded and that the previous paper is of a cassette size that can be folded, a resist roller 159 is driven with a specified waiting time lag, for example, of 1sec. Thus, a succeeding recording medium can be prevented from colliding against a preceding recording medium.</p> |
