<p>PURPOSE:To provide a low-voltage LED of an SH structure having electrodes on one side, which produces sufficient light output with high emissivity. CONSTITUTION:An LED of an SH with electrodes on one side comprises a p-type semiconductor layer 12, an n-type cofinement layer 14, and a lightly doped p-type layer 13 between the layers 12 and 14. The layer 13 consists of the same substance as the layer 12 and has a lower impurity (Zn) concentration than the layer 12.</p> |
