PURPOSE:To provide a nozzle for a laser beam machine capable of efficient machining without wasting the expensive assist gas, etc., by providing an injection hole smaller than the gas injection port at the gas injection port of the nozzle body. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical holder 22 is coaxially mounted on a gas injection port 18a of a nozzle body 18 of a laser beam machine to irradiate the laser beam 10 on a work to execute the machining while injecting the gas in an attachable/detachable manner. A transparent plate 28 which is provided with a gas injection hole 30 smaller than a gas injection port 18a and can transmit the laser beam 10 is mounted on this holder 22. This constitution provides a nozzle capable of excellent machining while injecting the shield gas of appropriate flow rate and injection pressure against the work, surely shielding the part to be machined from the atmosphere, and reduces the amount of the shield gas to be used. |
