PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear with a coat having a water absorption preventing effect over a long period by covering a coat with low water absorptivity and no permeation of gas, and suppressing following dimensional change and strength deterioration. SOLUTION: In the gear 10 having a gear body 12 formed from a synthetic resin material, at least a portion of the gear body 12 touching the atmosphere is coated by the coat 40 having a gas barrier property and water absorptivity lower than the synthetic resin material.
