<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition that is cured with irradiation of radiation ray in high sensitivity to form an image of high quality and the cured product of the ink has sufficient flexibility, to provide the method for ink jet recording by using the same, and provide the lithographic printing plate that can form an image of high quality by using the ink composition and has excellent printability and to provide a method for the production thereof, and provide the resultant lithographic printing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises a polymerization initiator, at least one selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylic acid, and monofunctional (meth)acrylic esters or amides bearing basic group in the molecule.
