Recesses are produced in the sliding and flank-faces of the ring by removal of graphite lamellae from the basic workpiece. The recesses are filled with lubricant (I) or abrasion-resistant material. Spec. (I) is MoS2, S, talc, WS2, PTFE, heavy metal phosphates, and/or iron oxide or nitride, if necessary, as mixtures with graphite, and binders, e.g. water glass, or synthetic resin; (II) is SiC, TiC, WC, Al2O3, Cr2O3 or Mo, if necessary, as mixtures with binders. |
