PURPOSE: A system and a method for downloading cell phone bells are provided to enable a general user to directly record his/her own voice or upload a desiring audio file, and to automatically convert the recorded voice or the upload file into a bell of a cell phone so that the user can download the bell. CONSTITUTION: An audio file storage(140) stores an audio file recorded or transmitted by a user. A bell converter(130) converts the audio file stored in the audio file storage(140) into a bell file. A bell file storage(150) stores the converted bell file. A bell downloading part(160) downloads the bell file stored in the bell file storage(150) to a cell phone. And the bell converter(130) converts the audio file to an ADPCM(Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation) type of file, and performs nibble swapping for the converted file, then attaches a bell file header on a front part of the file and a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) value on a rear part of the file, thereby converting the audio file into the bell file. |
