The headlamp comprises a luminous source (21) with a reflector (30) co-operating with it form a given type of beam. A housing (10) encloses the reflector and the source is closed by a glass (50). An adjuster (32,33,60) for orienting the beam around a moving axis (AH) of the reflector. The source is in a fixed position in the housing and the moving axis of the reflector passes near to the light source. The reflector has a reflecting surface designed to spread the source beam to give a set type of beam. The moving axis passes near to the middle of the light source in an axial direction. The moving axis is horizontal and generally perpendicular to the axis of the reflector.
