PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper arm for reliably and firmly controlling the upward rotating motion of a retainer with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A wiper arm 10 consists of a synthetic resin made arm head 11 which fixes a base end 11a to a pivot shaft and forms a spindle 12 at a tip 11b, a synthetic resin made retainer 15 which forms at base end 15a a locking recess 16 detachably and turnably coupled to the spindle and includes a wiper blade at a base end 15b, and an arm spring 19 which is interposed between the arm head and retainer and which presses and biases the tip of the retainer to a wiping surface side, wherein the top of the spindle 12 of the arm head 11 contains a rotation regulating surface 12a which extends toward the base end 11a from the spindle 12 to regulate the rotation in the wiping surface separating direction of the retainer and the upper side of an opening 16a of the locking recess 16 in the retainer 15 contains an abutment surface 16b which abuts on the rotation regulating surface.
