REVERSE PROJECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for reconstructing three-dimensional images of higher precision than that of fan beam reverse projection by improving image quality by taking into consideration a dimension that transverses each line of a multislice CT detector. SOLUTION: An examee is scanned by an imaging system (10) of multislice computed tomography provided with multislice detector arrays (18) to obtain the projection data of the examee, wherein the projection data are processed by a filter (54) and inversely projected so as to reconstruct a voxel of a stereoscopic image. The multislice detector array has a plurality of lines and rows of detector elements (20), while the inverse projection also interpolates the filter-processed projection data covering both the respective lines and rows of the multislice detector arrays.
