PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and stabilized aqueous deodorant, specifically, a deodorant for sludge treatment, including water and having 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diyl=diacetate (hereinafter called BNPA) as an effective component. SOLUTION: The aqueous deodorant is characterized by the inclusion of BNPA, propylene glycol and ester compounds as the solvent, polyoxyalkylene polyalkylene polyamine and sorbitan based compounds as the surfactant, and water. It is preferable that the deodorant is composed of 5-40 mass% BNPA, 10-30 mass% solvent, 5-20 mass% surfactant, and the remaining 10-80 mass% water. The deodorant has a low viscosity and is highly safe, can be easily handled, and is excellent in the underwater diffusibility. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
