PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent electric durability, which is excellent in resistance to oxidizing gas such as ozone resistance or nitrogen oxide resistance, in addition to electric characteristics such as charging property, sensitivity or responsiveness, and can be repetitively used without deteriorating the satisfactory electric characteristics, and an image forming apparatus provided therewith. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a laminated photosensitive layer in which a charge generation layer containing a charge generating substance and a charge transport layer containing a charge transporting substance are laminated in this order on a conductive support formed of a conductive material.
