FIELD: packaging industry.SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a box for a quantity of loose objects with a dispensing opening that inhibits and preferably prevents objects from becoming caught within box in process of being dispensed. Box comprises walls enclosing a chamber for carrying a quantity of loose objects. Tab is defined, preferably by a weakening line, in a first wall of box, such that tab forms a flap when weakening line is broken or tab is otherwise separated from first wall. Flap is then pivotally attached to first wall of box by aid of an attachment line between ends of weakening line. Flap is then pivotable into chamber of box after weakening line has been broken. Tab has a breadth in a direction substantially parallel to attachment line and a height in a direction substantially perpendicular to attachment line. Tab height from a free edge thereof to attachment line is preferably longer than distance between attachment line and an edge between first wall (in which tab is defined) and a second wall to which flap formed from tab is pivoted.EFFECT: thus, flap blocks entrance of objects into an area between flap and walls to which flap is pivoted so that objects are not trapped within box upon dispensing of objects.20 cl, 4 dwg |
